Tips on logging your Qso/Qsl cards
Hi all
I am getting closer to the bronze but have run into the problem of not receiving a Qsl card from contacts. As it stands at the moment i have 25 countries but only 20 confirmed but thats the way it goes i am not the only one on HS to have this problem. I think that most of it is down to miscommunication dealing with foreign operators that do not quite her you or dont understand you very well.
My best advice make sure you get them to read your call sign back to you at least one so that you can hear it clearly and make sure they have you loged before you end your qso.
Send you qsl card why you are still taking and make sure you get one back before ending, If you dont get one back check with the station make sure they are sending it right it my be that they are unsure of how to send one or they think they are sending one and not.Help them to send one remember it in your interest as well as there’s to send and receive a qsl card.
But most of all slow down and take your time the main reason could just be the fact that operators are just having a qso so fast that the other station has not got time to write every think down. remember a lot of these stations can only speak broken English at best speak slow to make your self understood spell out your name etc. just remember there are no extra point for being the first to get an award just have fun.
